We get it, people honk horns and shit. It’s not fucking important to the plot of the story though. The other reason why people use subtitles a lot these days is that either they can read faster and its easier to follow than trying to hear the audio and that the actual picture of the show/movie ain’t as interesting as what’s being said. Like when the main character is washing dishes…who the da fuck cares about what soap and Hot I Hate My Dads Temper And My Mamas Mouth Watch Out Shirt sponge they are using. And not just dialog. I didn’t hear the child crying in the background, or whatever, that turned out to be an important plot point. Gotta watch out these days, subtitle quality has dropped significantly in recent years because so many services are churning out content. I’ve seen some ridiculous gaffes the past year or so. I’m of Scottish descent and my wife is Finnish. We took a holiday to both Scotland and Finland and Hot I Hate My Dads Temper And My Mamas Mouth Watch Out Shirt I could both understand and make myself understood perfectly well in Finland. The same was not true of my ancestral homeland.
