Real winners! This is just like my coworkers! Except I don’t fill my coffee cup to the top… And my coworkers happen to be my 2-year-old son… And I don’t willingly let him hold the cup… And he outright dumps it on the floor instead of just a bit of spilling…I slowly went no cream or sugar until I only really enjoyed black coffee. I like my milk and sugar with a bit of coffee. I got over most of the resentment about a decade ago. Every now and then, one relative or another will reach out and seem reasonable/normal, and I’ll get my hopes up. We might even meet up and have a good time once or twice. But inevitably, they’ll bring God into the equation. And I’m not a dick; if I’m out with religious friends or family and they want to do a quick and quiet pre-meal prayer, I don’t get snarky.
