You don’t know where they are fishing, you don’t know their motives for fishing, you don’t know what the ecosystem of that body of water is like. That’s not an unfair assumption though. We’re currently, as a species, overfishing pretty much every population of fish we have access to. That’s literally the limit? Like 20 fish per day, doesn’t matter what kind of fish? In the US there are various limits depending on the body of water, type of fish, time of year, and size of fish. You can keep 50 perch a day per person out of lake Ontario, but only 5 trout from a local stream for example. If making that living is taking that much fish, killing an ecosystem then too bad.

I worked at a kid’s birthday party place for a couple of years in high school. So many kids would cry because they fell over, bumped their arm, etc. Never anything bad. I’d say something like “can you shake your foot around? Does it feel better?” “How about jumping in a circle?” “Alright, we are going to blow on your hand so it feels better” and then asks if they are ready to play again. Works like a charm. Your perception of bad luck. The human brain is predisposed to remember bad experiences more vividly than the good ones.  I disagree. It seems that all of Important Goat That’s What I Do I Read Books I Drink Coffee And I Know Things Shirt my co-workers do that, then walks around the office spilling coffee on the floor, not bothering to clean it up. Real winners! This is just like my coworkers! Except I don’t fill my coffee cup to the top… And my coworkers happen to be my 2-year-old son… And I don’t willingly let him hold the cup… And he outright dumps it on the floor instead of just a bit of spilling…I slowly went no cream or sugar until I only really enjoyed black coffee. I like my milk and sugar with a bit of coffee. I want to be there, side-by-side with my friends supporting this cause and making a difference. Going out and protesting is not the only thing you can do to effect change friend!
